When is the best time to move?Allow plenty of preparation time if possible, to prepare for your move. Consider any determining factors which may affect the dates of your move, including events taking place in your new destination. Consult the whole family and work towards a suitable date first to name a few.
What is the most difficult part of Relocating?Understanding the new Culture and embracing new customs can initially be a difficult part of an assignment, particularly when the culture is vastly different from what you are accustomed to. Researching the culture and keeping an open mind will assist you greatly in dealing with new situations that will constantly arise. The most efficient way in which to conquer these challenges is to seek Cross Cultural Training either prior to departure, or at your new destination. Expat can of course, arrange this for you.

What if I have a pet?Moving away from home not only impacts our family, but also on our Pets. If you decide to bring your beloved four-legged family member with you it is important to discuss this with Expat as early as possible, as certain countries (including Australia and New Zealand) have stringent importation and quarantine rules.
Expat will assist with your pet's transportation and any kennelling that may be required upon arrival. We suggest that you also research the regulations for importing pets in the new destination and also understand any requirements for inoculations and quarantine both at destination, and upon repatriation.
What if I have a vehicle to ship?Expat will arrange shipment of vehicles within the same country, or around the world. The legislation pertaining to vehicle importation differs in all countries, however it is generally an expensive, detailed and rigorous process with extensive paperwork and procedures. We suggest that you check the on-line Customs regulations of your destination country.
